For our virtual friends: we use “Google Meet” thus a Gmail account is required to participate. The link will be provided upon registration.
If notice is not given prior to the month commencement, and supplies are distributed, participants are responsible for the cost of the supplies given, as it cannot be returned or reused, but no financial commitment will be required for the program fee if discontinued or withdrawn.
An action-packed, interactive hour playing a game of chance in which each player matches numbers printed in different arrangements on cards, winning prizes and having fun! Bingo is most certainly largely a game of luck, but that doesn't stop a feeling of competitiveness during the game and a sense of pride after a win. It's an engaging and fun game that can be competitive in a fun way, knowing skill has very little to do with the outcome. Let’s get one thing straight – bingo is not a boring game. It’s an exciting and unpredictable game that will get your heart racing every time a new ball is about to be drawn. -Virtual prize winners will be given prize when arrangements have been made for pick up/drop off.

Everybody loves music, it affects people in many ways. Music can be used for reducing stress, relaxing, and fighting feelings of anxiety; thus, it helps to encourage self-expression and improve the overall mental health and well-being.

When it's not favorable outside and staying active is a challenge, come join us for inside Swimming, an excellent way to work your entire body and cardiovascular system. An hour of swimming burns almost as many calories as running, without all the impact on your bones and joints.
If you have always wanted to learn Spanish, you’re nowhere near alone; tens of millions of people study the language every day around the world. And it’s no wonder! Spanish is a language full of beauty, layers of meaning, and a rich linguistic history. In this fun beginner level class, participants have the chance to work with Ana, a true Spanish instructor, to learn some basic conversation techniques that will help you feel more confident about speaking Spanish. This class is a fun interactive, program great for beginners wanting to learn the basics of a new language!

Come join us and explore your artistic side. Develop your skills and have fun in our relaxed classes. Each week we will explore the wonderful world of painting a having fun with your imagination. This class provides a creative way to hang out with your friends and create a masterpiece! Don’t worry, you’re not just set loose to explore on your own! We are there to guide you every step of the way! Everyone in the class is working toward creating their own version of the same project. We will lead your through step-by-step, helping you to create your masterpieces. * Each Virtual participant will be provided paint / canvas / brushes / Materials prior to session.

Music is often linked to mood. A certain song can make us feel happy, sad, energetic, or relaxed. Music is a great way to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of a group! Come spend a fun hour with Ron, his guitar and the gang singing the old familiar songs, while learning new ones too!
No doubt scrapbooking develops creativity, as well, scrapbooks can cultivate creative skills and thinking skills and enrich imaginative thinking. Join us each week as we capture moments in time with photographs and our imagination.
1:00 Card Bingo
The Deal: Each table will facilitate four competitors. The entire deck will be delt to all four players, giving each 13 cards. Each player will separate their cards in four piles, representing each Suit. The Play: From a separate deck of cards, the "Caller" will select a card, one at a time, and call out the rank and suit of the card - for example "queen of hearts." The player with the called card turns it face down. The first player to turn all their cards face down wins the prize.

Welcome to ASL class with your host Ana! As you probably know by now ASL is a unique language. It’s entirely different from English and other spoken languages. Grammar is not simply a matter of word order, and it also involves facial expressions and body positions. We encourage you to let go of your inhibitions and give yourself your best efforts. Remember; we are all in this together. This course is to help beginners understand ASL and how to use it. The classes will be hands on, and group practice. Shhh…Voices are not needed!
Take the next step on your crafting journey. With these fun interactive classes, you can explore a wide range of topics and techniques, to help you learn basic craft essentials and take arts and crafts with hands-on experience by completing and sharing your own craft projects. Crafting provides an opportunity for self-expression and creativity. The focus that's involved with crafting stimulates areas of my brain that have been dormant since my middle school art class, keeping our brain sharp and more well-rounded. Also, crafting really improves our mood. Although it can be challenging sometimes, doing something productive (think exercising) helps us get my mind off other things and simply just makes us happier.
Drumsticks, pounded on gym floors, clinked overhead and bounced on exercise balls. Join us for a fun filled afternoon of rhythm and sound! A drumming-based fitness program that combines music, dance and rhythm. Use drumsticks to rock out while working out!
• Each participant will be provided an exercise ball, bucket and drumsticks for the duration of this session.
• Full disclosure this is not a quiet activity but so much fun!

Play skills are essential for us all to practice every day. Research indicates that play is associated with improved social and communication skills and promotes improved physical and mental health. There are many obvious academic skills involved in games. Take counting, for example: roll the dice, read your number, and move that many spaces—the easy practice of numeral recognition, but it goes so much deeper than that. Join us each week as we discover playing games improves memory and cognitive skills, increases processing speed, develops logic and reasoning, improves critical thinking, boosts spatial reasoning, improves verbal and communication skills, increases attention and concentration, teaches problem-solving, develops confidence and social skills!
2:00 Speech activities
Let’s build communication skills, at our own paste. We will practice and practice without being judged until we can say different words and put those together, helping in different environments like home, friends and relationships with people. They will learn some basic ASL vocabulary to complement and improve their interaction with peers.
In this session, Fiona will guide us in gently releasing and strengthening the upper body, lower body, low back, neck, hands and wrists, stabilize and restore equilibrium and alignment. This class is perfect for seniors or people with a disability, participants can be on a yoga mat or seated in a chair. Through a strategically designed mix of wellness-based modalities, together we will put you back in the driver's seat in your life, hold space for you to identify fears and self-doubt, find your inner joy and peace you so you can live the life you choose. We end the session with a soft Savasana meditation session.

We will travel together to different places in the world to learn about their culture, what they eat, see and their beliefs. Join us on this trip to knowing more about t the multiculturalism that inhabits this world and allow us to enrich your life with the beautiful rainbow colours of this wonderful planet.
Baking is an exciting way to introduce a wide variety of skills, and who doesn't like food? For some individuals, life skills are often a part of their learning; the goal is to equip them for independent living. Several distinct skill sets are involved in teaching individuals how to bake.

Ten-pin bowling is a competitive sport in which a player (the "bowler") rolls a bowling ball down a wooden or synthetic lane with the objective of scoring points by knocking down as many pins as possible. It is among the most popular to people with disabilities, as well, for many seniors, irrespective of their age or sports abilities, since it ensures physical exercise and at the same time participation and social integration. Plus, it's great fun! Join us each week at The Bowling Depot (Meet us there or hop on our bus) as we compete against friends and knock as many pins down as you can, get your game face on!
1:00 Let's Read
Reading is a fundamental life skill. Print is all around us in our daily lives and we acquire reading skills for practical use (street names, signposts, adverts, instructions) and for pleasure (writing a card, making a shopping list, looking up a television programme). Reading will help to develop vocabulary and grammar knowledge and will give added practice, and therefore improve spoken language skills. Reading practice will also help to develop working memory skills.

Dance, the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself. Did you know dancing helps with flexibility, balance, agility, coordination, power, reactivity and speed.? Dancing bolsters physical and mental health by, improving posture and flexibility, lift mood and ease anxiety. It's also a fun activity that sharpens the mind, increases aerobic power and strength, builds social bonds, and improves your heart health, overall muscle strength, balance and coordination, and reduces depression!
